Monitoring

Basic way to use SAM test is a one-time assessment of the learning results of primary school graduates.

Assessment timing:

Assessment with SAM test should be conducted at the beginning of the 5th school year as a part of evaluation of readiness for secondary school.

 Goals: 

  • Results of the assessment will provide information for the evaluation of the results of primary education
  • For teacher to evaluate his work as he/she starts working  with first-graders
  • Regular assessment can be seen as monitoring of the primary education in frames of different scales (from school-level to the level of the local educational system).
  • Monitoring results provide opportunity to determine the structure of  the school class and fill up knowledge gaps
